AIMIM Leader Takes Legal Action Against Rahul Gandhi Over Naming of Dog ‘Noorie,’ Citing Religious Sentiments

An AIMIM leader, Mohammad Farhan, has filed a legal complaint against Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi, objecting to the naming of a dog, ‘Noorie,’ which he believes offends his religious sentiments. Farhan contends that the term ‘Noorie’ holds specific religious significance within Islam, even appearing in the Quran. The local judicial magistrate’s office has confirmed that the AIMIM leader has brought this matter before the court.

Mohammad Ali, the lawyer representing Farhan, stated that they approached Judicial Magistrate Aviral Singh on Monday, seeking to initiate legal action against Rahul Gandhi under IPC Section 295 A, which pertains to hurting religious sentiments. Ali explained that the AIMIM leader learned of the dog’s name through various newspapers, Rahul Gandhi’s Facebook page, and YouTube channel. Despite Farhan’s public requests for Rahul Gandhi to change the dog’s name and offer a public apology, the Congress leader did not heed the advice.
