Nagaland Home Department Introduces Uniforms for Multi-Tasking Staff of State Civil Secretariat in Kohima

In a significant move, the Nagaland Home Department has introduced uniforms for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and office peons of the State Civil Secretariat in Kohima. The Home Commissioner, Abijit Sinha, officially handed over the uniforms to the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Grade-IV Association, represented by their Vice President, Yangtsali Sangtam, during a ceremony at the Secretariat. Sinha emphasized that this decision was a long-awaited requirement to instill better discipline and a stronger sense of duty and responsibility among the MTS and office peons while on duty. He also clarified that these uniforms would be provided to the MTS free of cost. Starting from the following day, all 567 MTS staff are expected to wear these uniforms when coming to work. Sangtam expressed his gratitude to the Home Department for taking this initiative, stating that the uniforms would provide them with a sense of identity.
