7th November, 2023: In a significant development, Khuzama Police personnel have arrested an individual for the possession of suspected heroin. The apprehension took place during a routine vehicle inspection on November 5th, when officers stationed at the Khuzama Check Gate detected and subsequently seized 110 soap cases filled with suspected heroin, weighing approximately 1560 grams.
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Kohima Police confirmed that the illicit substance had been ingeniously concealed within a dumper truck arriving from the neighboring state of Manipur. As a result of this discovery, a 27-year-old individual by the name of Md. Shahjahan has been taken into custody.
