NCC 75th Raising Day Celebrated with Regional Car Rally Across North-Eastern States

Lieutenant General HS Sahi Flags Off Nagaland Leg, Acknowledges NCC’s Role in Nation Building

As part of the NCC 75th Raising Day celebrations, the National Cadet Corps (NCC), North Eastern Region embarks on a regional car rally, covering 3,500 kilometers across six North-Eastern states. Lieutenant General HS Sahi, General Officer Commanding 3 Corps, flagged off the Nagaland leg of the rally at Rangapahar Military Station. The rally, led by Major General Gagan Deep, started from Shillong on November 6 and will conclude in Guwahati on November 26.

Twenty-six cadets, ensuring equal representation of boys and girls from all groups of the North Eastern Region Directorate, accompanied by their instructors, participate in the rally. Lieutenant General HS Sahi commended the NCC’s contribution to nation-building and interacted with the participating cadets before the flag-off. Major General Gagan Deep emphasized that the rally aims to instill camaraderie, leadership, sportsmanship, adventure, and patriotism among the youth, upholding the values of the NCC.

During the route from Rangapahar to Kohima, the rally made a pit stop at Eastern Christian College, Dimapur, where Major General Gagan Deep inaugurated a state-of-the-art Flying simulator aircraft of 1 Nagaland Air squadron NCC. The rally reached Kohima, where Major General Vikas Lakhera of Assam Rifles (North) flagged it in this evening, marking another milestone in the NCC’s commitment to youth development and national values.
