Zunheboto District Golden Jubilee: Agriculture in Focus, Best Harvester to be Honored, G. Kaito Aye

G. Kaito Aye, Nagaland’s Agriculture Minister, urged the residents of Zunheboto district to prioritize agriculture and not solely rely on government-provided rice. Speaking at the Zunheboto District Golden Jubilee celebration, he announced a challenge to award the best harvester, encouraging a focus on self-sustainability.

Minister Aye further called on the gathering to be willing to contribute land for the growth of Zunheboto. His emphasis on agricultural self-sufficiency aligns with fostering a resilient and independent community.

Advisor for Food & Civil Supplies and Legal Meteorology, K. Tokugha Sukhalu, representing Zunheboto, expressed the commitment of the 10 Sumi MLAs, including those from Dimapur, to ensure the district’s development. He stressed the importance of cooperation from citizens in matters of infrastructure, education, and healthcare. Sukhalu appealed for an open-minded and unselfish approach to facilitate collective progress.

Both legislators acknowledged and praised the pioneers of Zunheboto district for their foundational contributions. The jubilee celebration also featured diverse cultural presentations, adding vibrancy to the commemorative event.
