Eastern Nagaland Students Promote Unity and Dialogue in Tuensang Town

15th November 2023: In a proactive endeavor to tackle the unique challenges encountered by Eastern Nagaland and foster unity among its diverse tribes, the Eastern Nagaland Students’ Leaders Consultative Meeting & Cultural Exchange Event unfolded at the Eden Resource Centre in Tuensang town. Themed “Conflict Resolution,” this collaborative initiative, co-funded by the European Union, was orchestrated by the National Foundation of India in partnership with the Dolen Thangjam Society, Tuensang, and the Eastern Nagaland Students’ Federation.

The event served as a gathering point for 50 Youth Leaders from Eastern districts, representing seven distinct tribes—Chang, Khiamniungan, Konyak, Phom, Sangtam, Yimkhiung, and Tikhir. With the primary objective of establishing a conducive environment for dialogue, the consultation aimed to build mutual trust, focusing specifically on socio-political inclusion in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.
