Joint Spot Inspection Targets Improvement of Dimapur Bypass and Dimapur-Kohima National Highway

In a concerted effort to evaluate the conditions of the Dimapur Bypass (Nagaland Portion) and Dimapur-Kohima Four-Lane National Highway (Package I & II), a joint spot inspection was conducted today. The inspection team, consisting of key officials such as Chumoukedima Deputy Commissioner Abhinav Shivam, Revenue Officer of Chumoukedima, General Manager (P) of PMU-Dimapur at NHIDCL, and General Manager of E.P.C, undertook a comprehensive on-site assessment starting from Patkai junction. Their focus was to gauge the current state of the vital roads connecting Dimapur to Kohima.

During the inspection, Deputy Commissioner Abhinav Shivam sought updates on the progress of road development, emphasizing the crucial need for completed bus stands along the road network. In response, NHIDCL General Manager Ajay Batra provided assurance that essential amenities, including lights, toilets, and bus stands, are actively in development. He communicated that the entire project is anticipated to be finalized by March of the upcoming year.

This collaborative effort signifies a dedicated approach to address and enhance the transportation infrastructure in the region. The engagement of key officials and the ongoing development work underscore the commitment to ensuring the efficiency and safety of these vital roadways.
