Milestone Celebration: Asian Pacific Baptist Federation Marks 50th Anniversary in Singapore
November 18, 2023: The vibrant city of Singapore is hosting the two-day-long commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Asian Pacific Baptist Federation (APBF). Under the theme “Imagining the Future Together,” the event commenced yesterday, bringing together diverse voices and perspectives.
Reverend Dr. Elijah M. Brown, the General Secretary of the Baptist World Alliance, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. He delivered a compelling address on “Staying Focused: On Mission with God.” Dr. Rachel Tan, the Academic Dean of TBTS, shared her insights on “APBF into the Future.”
Adding a cultural touch to the celebration, choirs from the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) and Mizoram Baptist Church presented special performances. The conference has attracted several hundred delegates from different countries, including Reverend Dr. Zelhou Keyho, the General Secretary of NBCC, and various delegates from Nagaland.
