Daniel Lyngdoh Triumphs as Fastest Male Runner in Dimapur Marathon’s Inaugural Edition

Dimapur, November 18, 2023: In a remarkable feat, 22-year-old Daniel Lyngdoh from Meghalaya emerged victorious in the first edition of the Dimapur Marathon, showcasing exceptional speed and endurance as he conquered the streets of the commercial hub. Daniel clinched the title of the fastest male runner, covering an impressive distance of 21 kilometers.

The podium for the male category also featured H Ngaopulou securing the second position and Wede Tmero securing the third position.

In the 10K Red Ribbon Run female category, Rinky Kumari Chauhan from Assam claimed the top position, with Makak Mayum Minarashi and Cekrotalu securing the second and third positions, respectively. In the male category, M Nokching Chang secured the first position, while A Marikho and Tsole Yhokha took the second and third positions.

Organized by Ao Students Union Dimapur, the event aimed to foster unity and brotherhood among all communities while promoting a healthy lifestyle. The inaugural Dimapur Marathon attracted over 600 participants from different parts of the country, adding a vibrant and energetic spirit to the event.
