Nagaland Police Appeals to Public for Support in Combating Drug Menace

In a renewed effort to combat the drug menace in the state, Nagaland Police has once again urged the general public to share information regarding drug peddlers, traffickers, and consumers. Director General of Police (DGP) Nagaland, Rupin Sharma, appealed to the public to play an active role, emphasizing the ease with which traffickers can deceive individuals into transporting drugs or assisting in other measures.

Sharma encouraged citizens to exercise caution, not only in dealings with strangers but also with their own family members, relatives, and friends. He advised against sharing details of bank accounts and vehicles and cautioned against keeping any suspicious packages or luggage on their premises. The collaborative effort between law enforcement and the public is crucial in addressing the persistent issue of drug-related activities in the state.
