Indian National Congress Launches Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Manipur

The Indian National Congress inaugurated the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Thoubal district in Manipur, with AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge flagging off the march. Rahul Gandhi, Congress leader, is set to lead the yatra, focusing on crucial social issues like unemployment, price rise, and social justice.

Covering 110 districts across fifteen states, spanning 6700 kilometers in 66 days, the yatra aims to address and raise awareness about pressing social concerns. Speaking at a public meeting in Khongjom, Thoubal district, Kharge emphasized the Congress party’s commitment to secularism, equality, and social justice. The yatra, named Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, is perceived as a movement to safeguard the Constitution, democracy, and counteract what is termed as fascist forces.

Kharge highlighted the yatra’s objectives, stating it is conducted to advocate for employment opportunities, protest against rising prices, and champion the rights of farmers. Rahul Gandhi, reflecting on his previous visit to Manipur, shared encounters with families affected by violence and urged the Central Government to find amicable solutions. Gandhi emphasized that the yatra carries a message of peace for the state.

Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to reach Nagaland tomorrow, embarking on a four-day itinerary involving visits and public addresses to further the yatra’s goals.
