In anticipation of the scheduled transit journey of the President of India to Dimapur Airport on 17th January, the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, has imposed restrictions within Dimapur and Chumoukedima districts. These measures, implemented for security concerns, include a prohibition on the use of remotely piloted aircraft such as drones. Additionally, the directive restricts the conduct of any firing practice by Security Forces, Civil Police, Central Police, Private Firing Range, or any civilian holding licensed firearms. Furthermore, bursting of firecrackers is not permitted from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on 17th January.
