Governor La Ganesan Highlights Cultural Heritage Preservation at 19th Shilpgram Foundation Day in Guwahati

Inaugurating the 19th Foundation Day of Shilpgram in Guwahati, Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, emphasized the crucial role played by the North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) in nurturing and preserving the cultural heritage of the region. Serving as the chief guest, Governor Ganesan underscored the significance of the event in celebrating the rich cultural diversity of the North East. He commended the efforts of organizers, the active participation of performers, and the support of all stakeholders for contributing to the continued success of the festival.

During the Shilpgram Mahotsav 2024, themed “Colours of India,” a captivating choreographic presentation featuring folk dances from various cultural zones was showcased by Zonal Cultural Centres (ZCCs). Governor Ganesan encouraged embracing the diversity that defines the region and finding unity in shared traditions. He urged people to embark on an inspiring journey of cultural exploration and celebration. The 19th Foundation Day celebrations of Shilpgram are set to conclude on January 21, 2024.
