Member of Parliament Lok Sabha, Tokheho Yepthomi, has clarified that his recent statement on Article 371(A) reflects his personal views and does not represent the stance of the NDPP or its leadership.
Yepthomi emphasized that his remarks were aimed at addressing the perceived hindrance to development in the state due to the misuse of Article 371(A). He asserted that Article 371(A) can impede development in the state and encouraged citizens to consider this perspective. The MP clarified that he did not comment on the ongoing political negotiations related to Article 371(A) and did not advocate for diluting the article during the crucial stage of negotiations.
