Imkong L Imchen, Advisor for Information and Public Relations (IPR) and Soil & Water Conservation, voiced his support on January 22 for the Centre’s decision to halt the Free Movement Regime (FMR) along the Indo-Myanmar border. He emphasized the importance of a sovereign nation having clear-cut boundaries along its borders. Imchen stated that the decision is crucial to address challenges such as drug trafficking, which poses a significant threat to Naga society and contributes to the insurgency problem in the Northeast region.”
