Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announces Criminal Case Against Rahul Gandhi Following Clash

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma declared that a criminal case will be registered against Rahul Gandhi, leader of the Congress party, after a clash between police and Congress workers in Guwahati. The Chief Minister alleged that Rahul Gandhi attempted to enter the city with around 3000 people and 200 vehicles, leading to the confrontation. Sarma accused the Congress leader of instigating the incident and stated that a criminal case would be registered, with an arrest planned after the Lok Sabha elections.

During a press briefing, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma emphasized that Rahul Gandhi’s actions had led to the clash and affirmed that a criminal case would be filed against him. The police will conduct an inquiry, and the arrest will be made after the Lok Sabha elections.

Rahul Gandhi is currently leading the Congress party’s ‘Manipur to Mumbai Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.’ The clash occurred as Congress workers were prevented from entering Guwahati, resulting in the confrontation with Assam Police.
