The Orange festival’s fourth edition commenced at Rusoma village today, focusing on “Organic Orange.” Minister Salhoutuonuo Kruse inaugurated the event, emphasizing the significance of Rusoma as a progressive Orange producing village in Nagaland. She encouraged villagers to envision orange farming as a primary livelihood and highlighted the importance of adapting to evolving horticultural practices. Kruse commended the Department of Horticulture for supporting farmers with advanced drip irrigation units, showcasing the government’s commitment to sustainable agricultural growth. The festival features live music, culinary delights, art exhibitions, and various activities over the two days.
