The event marks the culmination of a series of training programs organized as part of the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.

In her address at the inaugural program, Joint Director IPR, Asangla Imsong, expressed gratitude to FTII for extending the training sessions free of cost to the scheduled tribes of Nagaland, aiming to foster a deeper appreciation for the art of cinema among the populace. Highlighting the profound impact of films as a universal medium, Imsong emphasized that the course aims not only to cultivate film appreciation but also to provide insights into the intricate craftsmanship behind cinematic magic.

Course Director, Prof. Niyaz Mujawar, a distinguished Filmmaker and Cinema graduate of FTII Pune, underscored the transformative potential of movies beyond mere entertainment. Prof. Mujawar articulated that films serve as vehicles for enlightenment and societal reflection, offering a diverse array of themes and genres for exploration during the workshop.

Over the course of five days, participants can expect an immersive journey into the world of cinema, gaining invaluable insights into the creative process and storytelling techniques that define the cinematic experience.
