Tragic Suicide of 18yr old JEE Aspirant Rocks Kota: Second Incident in Recent Weeks

In a distressing turn of events, an 18-year-old JEE aspirant from Kota has reportedly taken her own life just two days before the scheduled JEE Mains Examination on January 31. The police, in their investigation, uncovered a heart-wrenching suicide note where the young girl expressed her anguish and despair over her perceived inability to succeed in the exam.

The note, addressed to her parents, revealed her profound sense of failure and self-blame, citing her inability to crack the JEE as the reason behind her extreme decision. “Mummy and Papa, I can’t do JEE. So, I am committing suicide. I am a loser. I am the reason. I am the worst daughter. Sorry, Mummy and Papa. This is the last option,” the poignant message read.

This tragic incident marks the second suicide in Kota in recent weeks, adding to the growing concerns surrounding the mental health and well-being of students in the competitive academic environment. Just a week prior, on January 23, another student, hailing from Uttar Pradesh and preparing for NEET through private coaching in Kota, also succumbed to suicide.
