The 19th Annual Conference of the Association of Oncologists of Northeast India (AONEI) culminated in Kohima on February 4th, coinciding with World Cancer Day. Dr. Jadunath Buragohian, President of AONEI, announced the successful completion of the event, which featured nine panel discussions and 30 paper presentations on oncology, drawing participation from over 250 registered members. AONEI’s primary objectives include improving treatment accessibility, raising awareness, and providing continuing medical education for healthcare professionals.

Dr. Keduovinuo Keditsu, the Conference Organizing Secretary, underscored the conference’s significance in fostering collaboration among oncologists, researchers, and healthcare practitioners. The event boasted a remarkable presence of 118 faculties from national, regional, and state levels. Notably, Padma Shri awardee Neidonuo Angami, a cervical cancer survivor, shared her inspirational journey during the program.
