ENPO Organizes Public Rallies Demanding Early Settlement of Frontier Nagaland Territory

On February 9th, 2024, the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO) orchestrated public rallies across all Eastern Nagaland Districts to protest against the prolonged delay in fulfilling their demand for Frontier Nagaland Territory by the Central Government.

Addressing the gathering at the rally in Kiphire, Convenor of the Talk Team, ENPO, K. Asungba Sangtam, emphasized that the Central Government has acknowledged ENPO’s demand for the ‘Frontier Nagaland Territory’. Sangtam highlighted that Home Minister Amit Shah has assured the ENPO talk team that the Memorandum of Settlement will be signed before the announcement of the dates for the Lok Sabha election 2024.

Furthermore, Sangtam emphasized that the public rallies were organized across all ENPO areas to peacefully demonstrate the public’s fervent desire for the earliest signing of the Memorandum of Settlement, as promised by the government of India.

Reports from Longleng, Mon, Noklak, Shamator, and Tuensang echoed the unanimous sentiments for an early resolution to the demands of ENPO for Frontier Nagaland Territory.

The rallies serve as a collective voice of the Eastern Nagaland populace, urging swift action and fulfillment of their rightful aspirations for territorial integrity and recognition.
