BJP Candidate Kangana Ranaut Files Nomination From Mandi For Lok Sabha Elections

Kangana Ranaut, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from the Mandi Lok Sabha seat, officially filed her nomination for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday. Accompanied by her mother and sister, the renowned Bollywood actor-turned-politician expressed gratitude to the people of Mandi for their overwhelming support in her electoral debut.

Ranaut attributed her decision to enter politics to the affection and encouragement she received from the people of Mandi, her home state. She expressed her aspirations to make a significant impact in politics, akin to her achievements in the film industry.

“The people of Mandi and their unwavering support have motivated me to embark on this journey. While women across the nation are excelling in various fields, it’s inspiring to witness the progress made by women from Mandi, be it in the Army, education, or politics,” remarked Kangana Ranaut.

Addressing concerns about the opposition party, Ranaut voiced her apprehension regarding the “anti-national mentality” prevalent within the Congress party.

Accompanying Ranaut, her mother, Asha Ranaut, expressed confidence in her daughter’s capabilities and the overwhelming support of the public, stating, “Kangana has tirelessly worked for the people and will continue to do so in the future.”

Similarly, her sister, Rangoli Ranaut, extended her best wishes for Kangana’s new endeavor, highlighting the significant public support witnessed during the nomination filing process.

Following the nomination filing, Kangana Ranaut expressed her pride in contesting from the Mandi Lok Sabha seat, affirming her commitment to serving the constituents. With a successful career in Bollywood behind her, Ranaut remains optimistic about achieving success in the realm of politics.

The decision to nominate Kangana Ranaut from Mandi, a traditionally Congress stronghold in the state, adds intrigue to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In her maiden bid for a seat in the Lower House, Ranaut faces formidable competition from Congress heavyweight Vikramaditya Singh, the son of late former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh.
