Reliance Jio Extends Validity for Customers in Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Manipur Amid Climatic Challenges

In response to ongoing climatic challenges and resulting power outages, Reliance Jio has announced an extension of validity for its customers in the states of Meghalaya, Mizoram, and Manipur. Acknowledging the difficulties faced by customers during these unprecedented times, Jio is offering a 4-day extension of validity for those whose subscriptions have expired and who are currently unable to recharge their accounts.

The extended validity period is effective from May 30, 2024, and will continue until midnight on May 31, 2024. This initiative is designed to provide continuous connectivity, ensuring that customers can stay in touch with their loved ones and access essential services despite the ongoing challenges. It has already benefitted hundreds of thousands of customers.

Additionally, following orders from the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, Intra Circle Roaming (ICR) has been activated between all telecom service providers (TSPs). This allows customers to latch onto any available network in their location if their service provider’s network is impacted by the current weather conditions.

Reliance Jio remains committed to supporting its customers during times of need. Recognizing the critical importance of staying connected, especially under these difficult circumstances, Jio hopes that this measure will offer some relief and support to its customers.
