I convey my heartiest congratulations to Shri Supongmeren Jamir for his victory in the Lok Sabha election. The people of Nagaland have spoken univocally by electing him as the next Member of Parliament. His victory from a national political party will carry much weightage in parliament, whether in government or opposition, unlike that of political parties with a sole Member of Parliament.
His victory is a first of many in Nagaland’s political history, and I hope from this he finds inspiration and courage to fulfill the aspirations of Nagaland. I hope and pray that he will endeavor to strive for the people of Nagaland no matter the odds. I am certain that the presence of our Lord Almighty will be his guiding light for the people of Nagaland.
