Governor of Nagaland appeals to Eastern Nagaland People Organization and citizens of Eastern Nagaland to participate in upcoming Urban Local Body elections.
June 7th, 2024: Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, has appealed to the Eastern Nagaland People Organization (ENPO) and the citizens of Eastern Nagaland to participate in the upcoming Urban Local Body (ULB) elections scheduled for June 26th.
While acknowledging the concerns raised by ENPO, the Governor emphasized the importance of democratic participation. He stated that voting is not just a right but a vital opportunity to ensure representation and sustain democratic principles. The Governor reassured ENPO and the people of Eastern Nagaland that the Central Government is diligently addressing concerns related to the creation of the Frontier Nagaland Territory. He encouraged constructive dialogue and continued participation in the democratic process by all stakeholders, urging them to exercise their constitutional right and strengthen the state’s democratic fabric.
