Prime Minister Narendra Modi elected as leader of Lok Sabha, BJP, and NDA Parliamentary Party unanimously.

June 7th, 2024: Narendra Modi has been unanimously elected as the leader of the NDA Parliamentary Party during a meeting in New Delhi. Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Rajnath Singh proposed Modi’s name, which was supported by leaders of all NDA constituents. Modi has also been elected as the leader of the BJP in Lok Sabha and the BJP Parliamentary Party.

Rajnath Singh highlighted Modi’s suitability for the post, emphasizing that the alliance is a commitment, not a compulsion. Union Home Minister Amit Shah endorsed the proposal, stating that it reflects the wishes of 140 crore Indians. Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari praised Modi’s dedication to making India prosperous and a superpower. In his address, Prime Minister Modi affirmed that the NDA is an alliance committed to putting the nation first, not just a coalition for power.
