National People’s Party Kicks Off Campaign for Smti. Sonuo Yanger Ward 18 (Merhülietsa and Lower Agri Colony) with a Grand Program

Kohima, June 11, 2024 – The National People’s Party (NPP) launched the campaign for their candidate, Smti. Sonuo Yanger, for Ward 18 (Merhülietsa and Lower Agri Colony) in the upcoming Urban Local Body (ULB) Elections in Kohima with a grand kickoff program held at Molu Ki. The event was a resounding success, marked by an enthusiastic turnout and the presence of several distinguished leaders and supporters.

The program commenced with an invocation by Mrs. Iminungla Longkumer, Pastor in charge at KABA Merhülietsa, setting a solemn and hopeful tone for the evening. Dr. Keviseto Kintso, President of NPP Kohima, then delivered the welcome address, highlighting the significance of the upcoming elections and the party’s commitment to positive change.

A special musical performance by Jupito Swu and Arenchenla Walling captivated the audience, adding a joyful touch to the evening’s proceedings. This was followed by an inspiring speech from Dr. Tseilhoutuo (Dr. Ato), Hon’ble MLA of the 9th Kohima Town A/C, who expressed strong support for Smti. Yanger’s candidacy and emphasized her potential to bring about meaningful development in Ward 18 (Merhülietsa and Lower Agri Colony).

The event also featured a short speech from a representative of the Kohima Longjang Senso Telongjem, reflecting the community’s support and optimism for the upcoming ULB elections.
