Advisor Zaleo Rio Stresses Cultural Preservation at 10th Mimkut Mini Hornbill Festival

Advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Zaleo Rio, emphasized the state government’s commitment to promoting and preserving rich cultural heritage through Mini Hornbill festivals at the district level for different tribes. Speaking as the special guest at the 10th Mimkut Mini Hornbill Festival in Phaipijang village, Rio highlighted the significance of Mimkut, the premier festival of the Kuki tribe, being incorporated into the state Hornbill Festival. He commended the Kuki community for their contributions to the state’s development and praised the organizers for the festival’s success, noting the significant turnout as a testament to the respect for one’s culture and tradition.

The festival, held under the theme “Unity through culture,” featured cultural dances, folk songs, and various presentations. Organized by Kuki Inpi Nagaland and Phaipijang village council, the event was sponsored by the Tourism department, Nagaland.
