Nagaland State Commission for Women Evaluates Women’s Facilities in Longleng District

A delegation from the Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW) led by Chairperson W. Nginyeih Konyak conducted a comprehensive inspection of women’s facilities in Longleng district. The team, accompanied by NSCW members and a Legal Consultant, engaged in discussions with local women’s organizations, including Phomla Hoichem. They visited the District Hospital, Women Police Station, Sakhi – One Stop Centre, and District Jail, addressing challenges and emphasizing the importance of women’s welfare and protection of their rights. The NSCW chairperson highlighted the need for awareness on issues like cybercrime and domestic violence, encouraging collaborative efforts for women’s empowerment.
